She has participated as a special guest on "The Rundown" on MSNBC and during the past four years, Jessica has been the face of Telemundo.com hosting live broadcasts (livestreams) of the Billboard Latin music awards and the Alma Awards.

Luis Sandoval is native to the state of Nayarit Mexico, he possesses a dynamic personality with positive energy, unparalleled talent, and laugh-out-loud sense of humor. Audiences all over the country have had the opportunity to fall in love with his charm and ability to transmit positive energy through the small screen. Since 2011 Luis has been a star reporter for Univision’s syndicated show “Despierta America”, and next week he will be hosting his own show named “LAnzate” debuting nationwide on Univision.

Cilau Valadez is the son of renowned Huichol artist Mariano Valadez and anthropologist Susana Eger Valadez. He grew up in Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit Mexico. Cilau’s parents were the founders of The Huichol Center, non-profit organization that has provided medical aid, food, shelter and artist training to hundreds of Huichol migrants who worked in inhumane conditions throughout the nearby tobacco fields. Their humanitarian project has “transformed field hands to creative hands”, and helped the Huichols produce high quality artwork that they could sell instead of working in the fields. Throughout his childhood Cilau was surrounded by Huichol master artists and their beautiful creations that were inspired by the tribe’s native myths and spirituality. Under the tutelage of his father Mariano Cilau learned this intricate art form and the deep meanings of the symbols. He participated in many ceremonies and was mentored by an elder shaman where he gained firsthand knowledge of Huichol mysticism. Cilau took advantage of his dual citizenship and at the age of 14, decided he wanted to attend High School in the United States where he could learn to speak English. Staying with friends and family, he graduated from Berkeley High in Berkeley, CA and returned home to Mexico, inspired to make the commitment to become a full-time yarn painter. Since then he has taken this art form to a new level, incorporating his unique cultural identity into dramatic art that blends Huichol cultural traditions with the cosmic consciousness he has acquired on his own spiritual path to higher knowledge.

Headlined by world renowned Mexican-American singer Lila Downs; the event’s “Muerte y Tradición” stage will also feature performances by retro-cumbia group La Misa Negra, Mexican folk singer Edna Vasquez, East LA’s own English language mariachi band that pays homage to the music of The Smiths/Morrissey: El Mariachi Manchester and, making their Los Angeles Premiere, award winning group Huichol Musical. Tickets for the event are now available athollywoodforever.ticketfly.com. Guest are encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets online prior to arriving to the event. This year, the theme of the festival is “Shamanic Visions of the Huichol” and will honor and highlight Huichol culture as well as their unique and strikingly colorful artistic representations of life and death.
